Barbara Chase is an artist from Central Maine. She has been selling her art in in Maine and to collectors across the United States for over 10 years. Her formal art training was in both printmaking and painting.
Barbara's acrylic paintings currently focus on portraits of birds, bees as well as furry animals. In recent years, her subjects have been painted in a more realistic style and often larger-than-life, but her backgrounds are often fairly impressionistic. She loves experimenting with patterns, using texturing gels, stencils, and occasionally, collage.
