Barbara Chase - Acrylic Artist

A Maine artist who paints on canvas and wooden panels, Barbara Chase uses traditional tube paints, fluid acrylics, glazes, water-soluble crayons and pencils.  Her focus is on a number of subjects and she enjoys creating  animals, Maine landscapes, and still life paintings.

Barbara has created series of apples, pollinators (bees and flowers),  barnyard animals, and another body of work called "The Eyes Have it". This series  concentrates on the connection between the viewers and the animals in her work

Barbara exhibits art at The Maine Evergreen Hotel Gallery of Art in Augusta, Maine, as well as outdoor art shows during the summer.  Her work can be found in private collections across the United states. 

Formerly trained as a printmaking artist,  she has enjoyed painting professionally for the past ten years.
